Learning to let go


Enlightened firms nowadays understand the importance of relaxing rules about where employees do their work—whether at home, the office or elsewhere. In the future, they will have to learn to relax management rules about how employees do their jobs. It may go against the grain, but tomorrow's bosses will have to share management responsibility with other members of their staff for the sake of productivity.
