 Can coal clean up its act?

Coal is the most plentiful fossil fuel, and provides the cheapest means to generate electricity. It also has the reputation of being the dirtiest. New technologies for converting coal into ultra-clean gas and for capturing any resultant CO2 emissions offer a way to continue to use coal as the main fuel for the world's expanding power needs, while meeting the challenge of curbing pollution.

Subject: petroleum Vs clean coal &hydrogen cell
The total dependance of petroleum as a major source of auto-fuel,
lubricants etc. could be balanced by generating electricity from coal, lubricants from coal slurry with other additives plus successful
commercial application of hydrogen cells as an alternate auto-fuel.
The future 'ENERGY BALANCE EQUATION IS,

PETROLEUM = CLEAN COAL(ELECTRICITY SOURCE)+
COAL SLURRY&ADDITIVES(LUBRICANT SOURCE)+
HYDROGEN CELLS(AUTO-FUEL).
